Out of all 10292 suggested flags, my favourite is one the committee did not mention to the public: Joe Bleakley’s Aotearoa v2 flag.He describes it as a symbolic GPS of where we are Aotearoa (Maori) with the Southern Cross (Pakeha from the four corners of the world). To me the ‘long white cloud’ like waves also expresses our place as a narrow land surrounded by sea. Red stars with white edges on blue give it continuity with our current flag.
